With hearts pounding and legs shaking, thrill seekers are heading up to the 108th floor of the Stratosphere Hotel & Casino to take a ride on the world's highest decelertor jump called SkyJump. The only other one of its kind is located in Auckland, New Zealand with a fall of 627. SkyJump Las Vegas now holds the world record with 855 feet.
What looks like a bungee jump is actually much more controlled, with cables attached to both sides of jumpers guiding them the whole way down at around 40mph. It's being called the ultimate free fall, but it's more like a vertical zip line. The price is $99, but don't chicken out once you get up on the platform because you won't get a refund, only a voucher to try again when you grow a pair.
Is this worth the money? Or would you rather take that hundred bucks inside the casino and hope to double up? Check out the video of the grand opening.
