While this past weekend's Comic-Con collected crowds in San Diego, the 7th annual RollerCon begins tomorrow in Las Vegas. Thousands of roller skaters from around the world join together for roller derby scrimmages, workshops, training sessions, pool parties, and bar hopping!
One weekend doesn't seem like enough to host all of the events planned for this year. There's the Black & Blue Ball, the Derby Wedding, the Riedell Pajama Rama Party, and the Sin-City-wide Scavenger Hunt. Plus, there are boatloads of bouts inside and outside!
Themed teams are featured in the bouts, from Nerds vs. Jocks and Zombies vs. Robots to Gryffindor vs. Slytherin and Family Guy vs. Robot Chicken. Over 50 bruising, bone breaking bouts will be played during the next five days.
Fans of roller derby, or those who just enjoy watching women whoop each other on the track, always enjoy this event. Men are welcome to come out and play too!
