Real “Tron” Lightcycle Superbikes

Gamers, computer programmers, and science fiction fans everywhere are super stoked about the new Tron movie. For those with deep pockets, their cinematic fantasy can become a reality by purchasing a real-life lightcycle.

Parker Brothers Cycles is producing five space-age, yet street-legal, superbikes based on the computer graphic versions in the film. They are 8 feet long, 23-inches wide, and weigh 474lbs.

“It has a TL1000R motor that powers the chain driven friction drive system,” said Jeff Halverson, Operations Manager. “It can go up to 120 miles per hour but we haven't taken it up to that speed yet.” It also has a port to plug in your iPad and download ride stats from the onboard computer.

(Watch a test drive in the video below!)

Only one prototype currently exists, and four of those in production are already spoken for. That just leaves one, and it can be yours for $55,000. Although, it doesn’t look very comfortable to ride unless you have extra long arms.
