New Casino Guide Gives Basics, Best Bets

Casino table games are fun, but people often fear them. There are no training rounds or tutorials when walking up to play pai gow poker or caribbean stud. So, rookies often rely on the written words of experts.

With his new book The Intelligent Guide to Casino Gaming, "You'll be able to enjoy more, lose less, and have a reasonable expectation of sometimes leaving the casino with more money in your pocket than when you entered," says author Sylvester Suzuki.

The first subject Suzuki explains is the house advantage. He informs gamblers how and when that advantage is passed on casino patrons and how best to monetize those situations. He also shares tips on how to budget casino visits and how to most effectively use comps and coupons.

From classic table games like blackjack and baccarat to competitive games like the sports book and horseracing, Suzuki explains 14 different casino contests. He concludes the guide with a summary of the best and worst bets.

The Intelligent Guide to Casino Gaming is "a refreshing change of pace", wrote a reviewer on Amazon.com. Suzuki has previously published Poker Tournament Strategies.
