With all the tackling, tossing, and tumbling, most people would pass if asked to play rugby naked. But not in New Zealand. The Nude Blacks, named after the country's elite All Blacks team, have been battling in the buff for nine years. However, they were finally stripped of their winning streak this past weekend when they lost to the ladies of Los Conquistadors. (Check out the slightly NSFW pics below!)
The Barcelona-based women's team were clothed, yet they playfully removed an item for each score so strip rugby ensued. Two players were down to their pink underwear by halftime. Relaxed refereeing and lighter efforts by the men helped the ladies win 25-20.
"We thought they would be more gentle with us but they only slowed down when they realised we might score a try," said Conquistadors' Vanessa Pleguezuelos. "It was the first time we played against a team of men and, moreover, one that was completely nude."
The Nude Blacks will play three more matches before the end of the World Cup.
