Angry Consumer Crashes into $20K Cars

I guess there's no lemon law in New Hampshire. When 42-year-old David Cross tried to return a van he bought from the Portsmouth Used Car Superstore because "it was a piece of crap", he was told "you're stuck with it." So Cross decided to stick it to them.

Later that night, after waiting for his wife to fall asleep, Cross drove the lemon back to the dealership. He started ramming into cars costing over $20,000 each, including a Mercedes and a special edition Mustang.

"I hit the first $25,000 car I could see," Cross said. "I didn't hit a car under $20,000. Then I moved a van that they wouldn't come down on the price for. I moved it with the lemon they sold me. I just held it to the floor until I couldn't move it anymore. I took out seven vehicles, including my own."

However, he didn't try to run or hide. Cross flagged down a passing police cruiser and explained his damaging revenge.

"I was pretty crazy last night," he said. "I woke up this morning and wondered if it was a dream, but then I looked over and there's my bail papers."

Cross is scheduled to be arraigned September 19th.
